    ready. set. GO!

    Those spacers are crap.

There are already several threads on this. This lift is probably one of the worst you can have if you want any sort of durability. Read through the previously linked thread(s) and if at all possible revert back to stock, then start over with a better suspension lift.

Or... just replace the coilovers with stock replacements (Billy 4600's would be a good start), but don't expect it to perform very well, or last very long off road.

what do you suggest I do? I don't have a ton of cash to remedy this situation. Was quoted $4500 just for the kit, but did find it online for 3400 CAD$ delivered. I would like to keep the 6in on it but am really looking for the cheapest way just to get my truck to be able to take me fishing all summer.

Again it is an awful clunking sound coming from the blown shock on what I am told here is the old trail master kit

If all you want it to do is take you fishing, revert to stock if at all possible... maybe put some 5100s on it and call it good.

What size tires are on it?

For some perspective, a 3" coilover lift and rear leafs/shocks (OME) will run you ~$1200US and will fit 33's maybe with a bit of fender well trimming. I think your problem is that lift may have had some pieces cut off to fit it, that would need to be replaced/re-fabricated to get back to "stock"...

Right now I have R15 on it and my winter tires are R16. (not sure what the total diameter is).

I do travel a lot of logging roads for fishing.

your best bet would be to remove it and get a better ride lift. you can get a really good all round lift for $2000 US. your main problem is that most drop bracket lifts require you to cut or remove a cross member. some of those parts on the trail master lift is from an VW of some sort and really not for off roading in my opinion. but like you said short on money try to get some better shocks and see if those struts are charged.

33's will fit but he'll need some trimming, hammering for sure. and if he removes the lift a new cross member for sure.

What does the rest the tire say so we can figure out what size you are running
    Example: 265x70x15 or 33x10.5x15

Just for the record he has a drop bracket lift on it rightnow so goong back to stock and running a 3in lift is not feasible. His best bet is to get upper control arms with balljoints and big spindles and some front shocks.

You can go back to stock, it just requires you in bolting the bracket chopping out the rest of the old oem one then welding a new stock one back in. So its mot cheap or easy but possible

All of the... ok the better 6in lift kits have bigger spindles to accommodate the drop bracket instead of a spacer with a strut on top of it.

You are Canadian :canada:. Tell me you live in BC? Would love to help you out with anything you need. I'm in the Okanagan. X1000 on replacing that with either stock or some affordable lift options (3" or less). Ofcourse spending about 1500 CAD will get you an OME kit, which is a good compromise between the trailmaster kit and 2k performance coilovers.

I am in BC-Kimberley. I bought this truck off a guy in Vernon a couple years back. What do you think it would cost to get a new 6in kit in it? Maybe you know of something that is not 4500 and still decent. Otherwise will a 3in kit fit with the tires I currently have for it?

Would this be instead of a whole new kit? I really don't know much about this stuff. would this be a work around simply to get rid of the extra trail master shock? If that is the case, what do you other guys think about this as an option?
