Haha thank you! Projects definitely seem to contain more steps than I originally anticipate. The most tedious was the wiring and the modifications to the harness for it to work all the way in the back of the truck. Fortunately, I already had a high amp power wire running to the back of the truck so I really just needed to extend all the signal wires for the switch up front to the relay. All seems functional now, fills my roughly 1 gallon tank to the 100psi cut off and can inflate a tire. May also add an electric pressure gauge and mount it by the quick connect.
I will have to give it a time test on taking a tire from 15psi up to 35 next.

Side note, do we have a group size and trail rating for Sunday yet?

There's around 4-5 people committed right now, and the plan is blues, maybe a black if we're feeling froggy. I want to wheel harder stuff than I've been doing lately and I've made that clear to anyone asking about this trip.

I was watching a video on how to install spacers, and saw that some goes over the top hat. The one I had are installed under the top hat, on top of the coil. What is the difference between the two?

The one you have achieves it by preloading the coil. It's the same exact concept as moving the lower mount on the 5100. The one that goes on top, well, goes on top and adds a little more height.

One is preloading, the other is not. Mine are top hat spacers and don't preload the coil.

Just red something about the combo 5100/OME886, saying 886 are too stiff for 5100, and can cause a premature wear of the shock. Have you ever heard of that before?

Yeah I’ve heard that before. Headstrong doesn’t even recommmend it/offer it as an option. The OME 90000 are designed to be paired with the 886.

With that said, a lot of people on here run 5100/886 with no issue.

I was legit worried about hitting it for quite a few reasons. I’m just glad my reflex was to just do a slight swerve rather than change lanes into the car next to me.

I always brake for turtles. I also stop and pick them up and take them to the other side of the road if I can!
