my 09 has the "max ac" function.

maybe it was an optional dealer thing, convenience package maybe?

IMG_0761.jpg I did it to my 2011 when I changed all my cluster lights to white leds. The wiring is not the same. I'll try to find the piece of paper I made to do the change.

    Have an '05 & '14 Taco......the max cold on the '14 sucks

I like the way the '05 works better......turn dial to 'coldest'.....then hit A/C button

Bought the '14 used in late Sept...didn't get to use the A/C dial much....

be interested to know how to change the 14......but

living in Utah....the heater gets used more than the A/C....

    everything
I also HATE the when the ac comes on from the dial, then you can't turn it back off from the dial, gotta go searching for another button. This doesn't happen in the earlier trucks? Id swap that piece to the older one if i could get rid of that function

I removed the hvac assembly and the grey plate pops off. It’s held to the assembly by plastics clips. Once it was off I just laid a piece of wrap over the plate. Once on, I cut the wrap out of the openings and tucked the wrap in. Then reinstall. The wrap held up nicely and I liked it but I ended up having my interior hydrodipped in a black kryptek pattern

There are many threads for the conversion. You need a wire harness to make the switch. There are members here that will make the harnesses. I did the whole black out white led conversion for my 10 that had grey dash and orange lights.

You just use the harness and solder in that jumper wire on the back of the circuit board?
