New Member Intro From NC

I stopped in here about a week ago and did some research, ended up buying a 2010 4D 4X4 TRD Sport so I figured it's time for an intro.

My name is Mike, live near Charlotte NC and spend a good bit of my free time touring, taking long distance rides and endurance rally's on motorcycles.

My last truck was a 1995 F250 4WD Powerstroke deisel. Since I no longer pull large horse trailers I was looking for something a little smaller that my wife would be comfortable driving. We already have a Highlander and were very happy with it so after some research.....here I am.

Welcome man! I'm new myself. Where did you buy your truck? I'm right outside Charlotte as well.

 

Yeah Yeah......I'll have to dig some up. Tennessee Walkers.....never showed them. Plenty of trail riding and camping with them.

 

The funny thing is that the dealer (Toyota of North Charlotte - was Lake Norman) that treated us well last time we purchased a Toyota flat out lied to us several times last week.

Our local dealer (Toyota of Gastonia) that had changed managment treated us very well this time. In 2006 that place tried playing "oh my.....we can't seem to find your keys" when I wanted to leave and then decided to stand between me and our car. The sales manager found out how hard it is to breathe with my hand around his windpipe. Seems he was fired.

 

That's crazy! At least you got what you needed/wanted this time. Congrats! What color did you get?

 

Been a long time....back in the late 80's. I do get up to Morrow Mountain once in a while. Most of my truck use with my F250 was pulling the horse trailer, baling hay, hauling wood......stuff that involved waaaay too much work.

 

Bought mine from Toyota of Concord in January. I liked them very much.
I would buy from them again.
Drove the 160miles because they had the one I wanted on the lot.
