He'd have gotten plinked long before that started if he was living in my back yard

Or just spend $6 on a box of subsonic 22 rounds. The ones that I use (CCI 22 long's) make less noise than my air rifle and are a lot more accurate.

Just went to a shop to get my tire patched since there is a screw in it. Wheel lock key nowhere to be found in the truck. I'm guess the dealer didn't put it back after my 10k service a couple weeks ago. Looks like I'll have to make a stop there on the way home tonight.

I hated wheel locks when I worked retail. Half the time people didn't know where the key was, and the other half didn't even know they HAD wheel locks.

This is my first vehicle with them and I already don't like them. Not sure if the dealer didn't put it back (I figured they'd have a master one to use on all vehicles) or if I never had it from the get go. I torn apart the truck in the shop's service area looking for it and even checked on here to see where Toyota typically hides them and no dice where it should be.

Really unless you live in downtown in a National Lampoon movie they're a waste of time anyway. And I'd be willing to bet that the people that steal wheels on a regular basis have a complete set of wheel lock keys that they use anyway.

Only works about 50% of the time. Even with the 'Tornado' sockets a lot of times you just end up with a rounded-off nut. The only thing that I've seen that works 100% of the time is to drill 4-5 holes in the socket, hammer it on, and then spot weld the socket to the lug nut through the holes. But it's time-consuming as hell and a major PITA to do it without damaging the wheel. And if they're deeply recessed lugs you can forget even doing that.

I have a master kit in my truck I carry. Sick of all the different special ones for different brands or vehicles. So if I carry it just for convience I’d be willing to bet a pro thief does too.

I wish my grandfather hadn't totaled his 2000 F250 with the 7.3l diesel a couple years back. It would have been perfect. I'm still thinking of a F250 oil burner, but I may end up with gas. Who knows.

In my mind, the top options are:

    Wrangler 4 door (MT)
    F250
    Tundra (because I <3 Toyota)

Not sure about any other brands because I have done 0 research so far haha

I would not buy a modern ford power stroke these days. Read the ford forums and after like 60-70k miles owners seem happy if their repair bills equal the fuel bills each month

    That's not good...

If you haven't done a hard reset, hold down the power button for like 10 seconds like you're smothering it with a pillow. It should restart. If the issue persists, do a factory reset.

Edit: Basically hold down the power button until it restarts. Could be longer than 10s.

I think my F-150 supercab (suicide doors) back seat is about the same size as the Tacoma double cab overall.

Not when you hold down the power button until it restarts.

For a factory reset, yes you'd lose everything.

If your data is backed up to the cloud you can do a factory reset at work. Like on my phone I could reset it and lose nothing, or at least nothing important.

Not sure which phone you have, but if simply powering it down and back on again does not work, you can try to clear the phones cache partition before trying the dreaded factory reset.

If you have an actual home button, you push and hold "volume up + home + power" buttons until the phone reboots. Puts you into the "safe mode" for lack of a better word. At that point you use the volume buttons to scroll up and down, and the power button selects the item. There should be a "wipe cache partition" selection and push the power button when it is highlighted.

A lot of times this fixes quirky bugs like you are having by wiping the cached memory (does not delete any data off the phone). If that doesn't work, you will need to do a factory reset.
