Thanks, Yes ProTuningLab just emailed me back its H11 for HID bulbs H9 for halogen the H11a/b just have tabs on different sides-for projectors use H11b...for what its worth. Sometime soon ill be ordering the 5500k morimoto hid bulbs and 35watt ballasts to go with them to upgrade generic junk hid's that came with projectors, but for what i paid ($300) wasnt a bad deal IMO. An extra $100 for quality parts/more light/Whiter color is totally worth it!

I would avoid buying from pruning lab. I bought my headlights from them. When I had a warranty issue they told me to go buy supplies and fix it myself.

Yea i already bought from them good thing no problems because heard their customer service does suck and EVERYONE uses these same products (China) anyway. First thing i did before installing was seal edges of housing with GE Silicone, I've had on for 3+ months so far in monsoon season and no leaks/fogging etc. Guess i shouldve tried retrofitting stock headlights first but didnt want the downtime and risk screwing only lights up, but pretty pleased with these except now want little better lighting and whiter color, so now i will just upgrade bulbs and ballasts from TheRetrofitSource.com and call it a day.

Do you have hids in them from pruning lab? I have the 4300k set up from them. I am very impressed with how well they light up the roads. I don't know how much better the stuff from retrofit would be. Report back after you buy that stuff and redo them.

I did not bother to silicone the lights when I received them, as people were posting and saying that they were staying dry. After about a month the passenger side had quite a bit of condensation so I took it off and drained out over a cup of water. It has been silicone. The driver side was totally dry so I did not bother silicone in that one and it has stayed dry.

I don't know if anyone can speak to the long-term reliability of these. I think they've only been out since the start of the year so there's no 2-year reviews for instance. At this point, it's a risk but if they hold up for long-term reliability these are a great value based on features and look. If anyone has any long-term info on the 2005-2011 version of these I too would love to hear whatever data points of first-hand-use others can offer up.

No I did not. With the higher end kits you don't need a relay harness.

so, why is it that you cannot run hid without voiding warranty?

Its not really that you can't run hid. It's more the fact they don't want you modifying the lights so you can do it, such as cutting holes for the wires to go through.

I’d wonder about heat too. I know certain HID projectors can run only 35 watt, others can run 35 or 55 watt, etc. How would you know what will or won’t melt or burn these?

My 35 watt hids created very little heat.

How long did shipping take for those that ordered from Tacomabeast? I ordered mine 3 days ago and no shipping notification yet but no delay in charging my credit card.

It was a weekend. Of course they charge your credit card when you place the order. Have you ever ordered online before?

Yes I have ordered online before - have you? Some places charge you right away but not all. Some won't charge you until the item ships.

Me? I'm not the one who felt the need to fire up a post complaining about what is standard business practice and has been for decades trying to make it seem like TacomaBeast is up to nefarious deeds in an effort to ruin your life by taking the weekend off. Please don't derail what is otherwise an informative thread when you can just patiently wait a couple of days and realize your world isn't actively crumbling around you. I'm sure they, just like every single other online vendor, are working hard to catch up with the orders from the weekend and your order will be physically boxed up and shipped out any day now.

So whats the deal with not running LEDs in the Tacoma Beast Headlights? Is that more of a liability standpoint to legally protect Tacoma beast?

I have a set of LEDs in mine, the problem is the are H1 bulbs and you can't run the rubber dust cover. i will try to post some pic later. I have a set of HID coming today. so i will post an update how the HID fit. as far as temperature damage to the lens maybe an issue but time will tell.I hope this help some of you guys on the fence about buying a set. As far as Tacoma beast is the only vendor on this style of light we are stuck with H1 style bulbs,They should of made them fit the stock bulb so you can have a sealed headlight.I'm not trying to say they aren't sealed they are but if you want to run LEDs and HIDs its a mod its not a plug and play install.
