Just sold a pair of my used tires on Craigslist. I hate when they show up and low ball you. We agreed on a price last night, and the guy showed up and offered $20 less today. I split the difference with him just because I wanted to get rid of them, but damn that is frustrating.

guys, I am going to be selling my 2nd gen AC/DCSB bolt on sliders. They have been installed for 2 years. Not sure the miles.. but that doesnt really matter.

 

The funny thing is, I totally expected it, because that's just how Craigslist works, so I had a floor of how low I was willing to go. He offered me the floor, and I got $10 more out of it. I asked $75, we agreed on $60, he offered $40, and I got $50. Yep, that's about how Craigslist math/economics works haha.

I have had people agree to a price and show up the same way.

I usually pack up to leave. This one guy said, over 10 bucks?
I said unless you want to buy it for the same price minus all the mags.

He looked dumbfounded.

I told him that since he wasted my time, and decided to renegotiate, I was doing the same.

He said I dont want it.

I told him I decided I didnt want to sell it to him.

Promptly left and blew him up on vaguntrader

 

yea, it's only $10 so I dont blame you.. it's worth it not to deal with the hassle anymore haha

 

I stopped using VAGunTrader because of that. There are some good users, but as you said, others want to show up and re-negotiate, and still others just flake all together. It's always the same excuse, too - car problems. I just tell them to buy a Tacoma and they won't have anymore issues.

 

Well, when I sell a glock I sell it for 480.

I pay 430.

New they go almost 600 with tax.

I'm being generous with my pricing.

Exactly. Brand new, shipped, mounted and balanced was $320 for all 4 after the rebate. I used them for 40k miles. The fronts were fucked because my alignement was off. I still think I did ok at $50.
