Where's Chewbacca?

 

Long story about Chewy. When I joined the Marine Corps back in 1990, after all my training I went to my first unit. My last name is Olchawa, so over time everyone started calling me Chewbacca and sometime it was shortened to Chewy. That nickname followed me through 19 more years in the Corps and still to this day.

Nice build Chewy! Did you plasti-dip the front bumber lower valance on or off the truck? Also, what brand of hood visor is that?

 

Did the plasti-dip on the truck. Just taped off the front with some painter tape and newspaper. Did about 6 coats to make it thick.

Just installed Rokblokz XL mud flaps. Simple and great looking. Had to do some modifying on my Bushwacker fender flares (add a couple holes). Took about 30 minutes to do all of them.

 

Added 5100's, OME 888's and Dakar HD leaf springs couple weeks ago . Took about 6 1/2 hours by myself. Still need to do the LR UCA's and the ECGS bushing. Maybe this weekend.

 

ditch lights installed. just need to run the wiring and waiting on switch to get here.

 

Looks good! What tail lights are those? (Can't seem to find in your mods list but its been a long day)

 

I forgot all about those changes to my truck. accidentally cracked one about a month after I bought the truck, so found these on Amazon:

Rear differential breather mod completed. Ran the breather up to the left rear taillight and zip tied it off.

 

CaliraisedLED fog light kit installed.

 

Wish I could mod out my truck like that. I have so many ideas but keep second guessing every decision before I order anything. Haha

Hey nice truck. I recently purchased bushwackers and now am thinking about mudflap options for winter use. Did you find any other options that could work as well? How many holes dud you drilled into the bushwackers

 

So for my mud flaps, I ended up with the RokBlokz XL ones. IF I remember right, I had to drill 1 hole for each fender through the bushwackers for the flaps to fit. But the hole was only through the fender flare, not the truck.

 

How was your alignment after lift install? Debating between 888 and 887, I want to go 888 but don't want to have to do UCA's for now at least.
