    No kidding... I got lucky and have a great kid. He's smart and gets good grades. Wants to go into robotics or computer programming. His first two choices for college... MIT or Caltech...
    Both of those schools are around $60k/year... FML :facepalm:

    I told my son it's up to him to get the grades to qualify for scholarships or grants. Without those, there's no fucking way he'll go to those schools because I'm not taking out a second on the house to pay for college.

    Join the military? Lots of good stuff after 4 years of honorable service. I just had a buddy finish his degree and the gov't paid around $250,000 for all of this schooling, tuition, fees, etc... if I would've known when I got out back in the 90s I would've had several degrees under my belt instead of 1 degree :laugh:

    I’m going to be 28 this year...and we want kids but not until we “accomplish” things we’ve wanted, our list isn’t long and honestly we've done a lot on that list so if an “accident” happens...I’m already at that “oh well” :laugh:

    That’s why we’re trying to travel somewhere at least once a year and hopefully get a house maybe in 4-5 years...:cool:
