    Looks like a nice board. You may want to start out at first on a long board just to get the hang of it and graduate to that board after a few sessions. I'm sure if you don't have a long board around someone will have one you can borrow. Even the soft boards from costco are a decent learning board.

    Long boards are more stable and float better so easier to learn on. Your new board looks like a good board to use once you've got the basics down.

    the foamies are great. I had one for a while before i dropped doe on a longboard. $90 for a board that gets replaced when u break it, i say yes.

    x3 on the foamie. Get that wavestorm man! I bought one a few weeks back to teach the girl how to surf. Took her out yesterday on it and she loved it. It wasn't the best day and conditions to learn on but I got her up on one wave. I love surfing the wavestorm too. Super easy to catch waves with

    x4 I have a wavestorm for when the waves are barley there and to let friends use it when they want to learn to surf. Its cheap yet effective and not bad to have a foamie around anyway. If you get one from Costco they have a generous return policy if it breaks or you "Don't like it" anymore. :thumbsup:

    Wavestorms are great. You can run people over with them. If they break you can get a new one for free. Catches every wave. Great beginner board. Fun board for more advanced surfers too. All for a hundred bucks. Worth every penny
