It's less Tacoma and more mod
It's an aftermarket custom ECU and it has no warmup cycle programmed and appears to be a bit lean, also no exhaust. Sounds pretty damn good for a first fire though

Makes sense, that's definitely what running lean sounds like.

Is it piggybacking off of the original ECU?

Nope, I think he only left the OEM one in there so it can be tricked into running the gauges (you can make it think it is doing stuff with the fancy ECU he has without the oem one controlling one damn thing)

The gauges on a first gen are fed by the ECU, save for the temp and fuel. But he can assign the other lights in there to functions as well.

I decided I’m gonna stick with what I got now.

I can make more working 1.5 days here than I can getting a full 28 hours at the other place.

Not that you care but if I were you I’d have to have some closure of some kind.

I don't think I ever took the chance to post the full album of before/after pics of my Miller 180 restoration.

    front old.jpg front new.jpg logo old.jpg logo new.jpg side old.jpg side new.jpg back old.jpg back new.jpg topdown old.jpg topdown new.jpg cover old.jpg cover new.jpg top old.jpg top new.jpg warning old.jpg warning new.jpg back old.jpg back new.jpg serial old.jpg

I replaced all the decals on the welder with brand new OEM Miller ones. The only decal I could not purchase from Miller was the serial number sticker. So what I did was take a picture of it, imported it into Photoshop, and use it as a mask to re-create it. They say sign your name to something you're proud of, so that's exactly what I did. I had the decal printed professionally by @CBoy808

That's the sexiest conversion of an 80 I've seen. Love that bed tray, would love one of those for my truck.

You just looked at one Caddy? I’m planning my Northern California pick-n-pull tour for the 12th through 15th for my horn search and I’m looking at which yards I am going to.

Last time I was there the homeless near the river set some brush on fire.

    Great job.
