Because when something does go wrong, I want to know about it. Driving around with CEL and Tranny warning lights on as 'normal' is dangerous, IMO. YMMV

If you cant tell when something is wrong and need a light to tell you SMH...if you are building a truck to get abused offroad you should do it right (full floater).

Just do the electrical work to prevent the false warning lights. I don't know what I don't know about custom axles, but I tend to agree.

    Of course.

How does it articulate with the stock beddies?

I added a couple more photos of it flexing above. When flexing one side at a time with the forklift it cleared just fine (i trimmed about 1.25" off of my fenders earlier for the 35's). When we were in Moab last weekend I discovered that when both sides are tucked at the same time it puts my axle back farther and I hit my bushwackers so i had to do some hacking on the trail to get them to clear. I will need to do a little more on the new set of bushwhackers but that is it!

Did the cage get welded to the frame all the way?

yes it did. we chose not to drill and bolt it... way faster to weld it on.

I did the same with the legs on mine...I don't know if the bolts would ever come loose over time, but I didn't want to keep tabs on them especially once the frame gets boxed.

Anybody interested thinking of selling my four 15x8 Method Double Standards, with bfg at 35's on 20ish percent.
