Nope, they make a housing that goes over the light and they have multiple gels that snap on magnetically. they also have honeycomb and soft box dome attachments. The light can be controlled in increments of 10% or if you have it connected to your smart device, in increments of 1%!

Ive been wanting a pair for my drone for a while now.

I have a couple of the Lume Cubes and use them a lot for night photography. Great shot!

It’s not about the equipment, it’s about what you do with what you have.

    Equipment helps though.

But seriously, a $10K camera wont drive itself and point itself at a nice composition.

    Too true!

I was so irritated that I did not have my "good" camera with me last night so I used the best camera I had...iPhone SE...for this one.

Not horrible, not great, but at least I captured something that is beautiful to me...

I love when the sky get lit up and has some dark clouds. I think I shot about 5K+ frames of thunder heads over the weekend, and then shot the Sierra LED 250 night race.

But heres a shot from Big Bear a few weeks back on a new moon. 3 Shot vertical pano.

Thanks, I need to do an actual serious edit.. I have stacked shots that I need to edit, stack, and then restitch. My buddys wife wants it printed for their house, so I gotta kill as much noise in the photo as i can.

In an attempt to make the black bumper pop a little more in contrast to the bright sunrise. I still need to learn a little more to get that to work though.

Awesome, I used to have a dslr... nothing special just a nikon d3300. And I tried to do some milky way shots. I don't know how to stack so they were simple 20sec shots. And edited them on an editor that came with my camera. Didn't turn out nearly as amazing as your picture.

Dont be discouraged! Ive been doing this for over a year and have thousands of dollars invested in camera gear.. Key points to taking milky way shots are wide angle lens. 14-24mm, sometimes I shoot 50mm. Fast aperture is a MUST. f2.8 or faster. Most of my star lenses are f1.4. and then you need a sturdy tripod. Shoot in raw and edit from there.

Gotta say... that makes me want to go pick up a new camera and editing software. Very tempting

Same here. I have to say the editing part is where I lack the most in this hobby. I think mechanically and so the photo taking part came naturally (I mean the mechanical part, ISO, aperture, shutter speed etc and how it all works to create an image. Not the taking great photos part...). But the editing side is where I fall apart and I need to start making time to watch tutorials or reads books.
