If you do end up trying these out let me know if you have any better luck, it's almost withw getting the 3 pack so you can try all sides. My zipper pull is on its last leg and I could use a fix.

For anybody looking to buy a Tepui, I lucked out at one of these sales. I bought a Kukenam Rugged that was returned for shipping damage. It was very superficial damage and I fixed it with a rubber mallet and screwdriver. Good luck, show up early (5-6am) to get a ticket.

I will have to say that getting a rooftop tent has been a game changer. Anything I can do to help my wife enjoy camping a little bit more, I'm all about it. I'm a simple creature and don't need much, but we're very different haha. Camping feels more like a vacation for her now, than a chore. https://youtu.be/HnnidBmshAs

FINALLY was able to mount my tent. Tepui sent me a replacement cover with the zipper sewn on correctly. It's actually the newer logo which looks good IMO.

Hopefully I will get to break it in next weekend and then I'll know what else I need for my trips.

Thanks to the new guy @tcriley08

I love my medium Yakima Skyrise. People knock it online but it’s been great. It’s very light and is a 3 seasons tent but I just bring my zero degree bag and I’m warm. I know technically poly cotton is better, however out in California the weather isn’t that bad and nylon tents are much more resistant to mildew if I have to fold it up wet. I’ve been to the deserts, the snowy Sierras, and Whistler BC with it. Love it. Oh and I also love that I got it from an REI garage sale return (which they don’t normally let you do) for $300. It was missing the rainfly hoops but Yakima was awesome and sent me a free set. The tent retails for $1499 so yes I’m happy with it.

My very first night in it :)

Whistler BC- my son and I took our bikes to the bike park there, amazing place. Made my own drawer which changes camping completely

Camping made simple up in Tahoe, people camp like vagabonds holding a yard sale. RTT’s are worth every penny-

This, even with the anti-condensation mat after letting my tent air out a bit in the morning I still have condensation on the aluminum when I fold it up. The anti-condensation mat gives it some space to let the air in there and it can dry up. Putting in a mat like that would just make the condensation even worse and not give it air to evaporate.

Oregon-to-Canada on the WABDR (June 2018) - Day 1: Joe and Daisy's First Big Dirt Adventure
    June 24, 2018.

It's not often that we end up on a trip in our own backyard. There are many reasons for that - there are amazing sights far and wide, adventurous friends are located states away, and of course the weather in Washington makes snow-free exploration tough much of the year.

But when Joe got a 4Runner and mentioned that he and his wife (Daisy) wanted us to get them (and their 16-month old) out on their first trip, it seemed like a great opportunity to do something a bit easier and a bit more local.

The WABDR (Washington Backcountry Discovery Route) fit that bill perfectly! And as always, the CVT @Cascadia Tents was flawless.

You can camp for free off of Nacimiento/Ferguson road once they re-open PCH. There’s also the little branch roads up into the hills above it that you can use now for free

What's the protocol for camp shower at developed campgrounds? We have the Roadshower setup under the annex and prefer to just shower under there. If we pull up to a campground with shower facility, are we only allowed to shower in the facility? I never saw any signs about portable showers.
