Has only one person done this?
Removed the resonator box piece and replaced with a straight tube?

First time I’ve seen it. Worth it? Probably not. Kinda makes it look cheap.

this with a drop in afe filter and the trd pro air accelerator piece.
Is a much cheaper option than a cai
Or instead of this one could do a hps tube which deletes the resonator box but at $170 USD that is pricey for a Canadian.

I am not 100% sure of anything. Another member did this. I was curious. I see on 2nd gen it is a resonator box and people do remove it.

    Get a blue one?
    http://www.hpsperformanceproducts.c...ed-silicone-post-maf-air-intake-hose-kit.html

That or hit up the plumbing aisle at Home Depot, or the Canadian equivalent.

I never checked (I have the HPS hose), but can you remove the resonator and literally plug the hole up? All you get is noise but it's worth it imo.

They are listed on eBay. Maybe a seller can ship it to you in Canada.

Im still figuring it out myself... From what gather you can basically make a trd pro cai for less utilizing the main parts.
    Trd pro air accelorator.
    Afe drop in dry filter

Any progress on that tube? I'm contemplating an afe Cai but would love to not spend $400.

Did you remove the 2nd air filter from the top of the air box?

Do you mind snapping a picture of your setup?
