Can you have a dog in the bed of the truck? I thought it was against the law.

Truck keeps throwing P0420 and P0430 codes consistently. Before I just replace the cats what's the best place to have the truck looked at to make sure it isn't anything else like o2 etc? Toyota or any shops around Huntington Beach, I would look into it by myself but im just too busy and stressed to deal with it. If it is the cats is it better to buy generics and weld them in or have a shop do them?

    HEY! Hey!
    I like dogs.

Sometimes we have to protect them from them selves, and stupid owners.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    Gotta be cross-tied.

Yeah man I cant go without it, I love the privacy and also the heat from the sun is way better with tint. If you or anyone else that reads this gets a ticket, for fix it or speeding I can help you get it dropped with a 95% success rate. I have over 33 tickets so I was forced to figure out the traffic attorneys little secret lol Only ones you cant win are seat belt, red light and cell phone tickets.

I took mine into Toyota when I got the dreaded P0420 and they confirmed it was my cat. Dunno how but after I got it replaced it solved the problem.

BTW I don't believe 2nd gen 4.0s have CA compliant aftermarket cat options available...which means you would be forced to go OEM and they are STUPID expensive, unless you can get it covered under dealer or federal warranty. Federal warranty on emissions equipment is 5 years or 70k miles IIRC.

I got lucky that 1st gens have a wide array of CA compliant aftermarket cats so I was able to go Magnaflow for a few hundred, as opposed to the $3k that Toyota wanted for OEM.

edit: although there was a member on here that commented in a different thread saying that certain model year 2nd gens have CA aftermarket cats now, but I don't know which years it applied to or if it was even true. Hopefully it is though for your guys' sake

A sequence of delays and extensions on your half, then take the WTB (Written Trial by Declaration) route and request another extension for that. In the box where you write your explanation you only write ( I stand by my plea of not guilty ) . Do not write anything else, not 1 additional word. This works 95% of the time unless you have a crazy record like me, then its more like 60% success rate lol. The only downside is that you have to pay the ticket price upfront then they refund it back to you after they close it.

The cops normally dont respond to the WTB ( they have 15 days to write their side of the story )
OR they choose to drop it, or sometime just write " I dont recall the event" which all = dropped case + refunded money.
