Dang! I had a basset as a kid who ate a pound of Hershey's chocolate and didn't even care. She was fine.

We had a full blooded lab when i was a kid, and my parents keep my Golden retriever, Jake at their house. We thought Oakley was a Lab too when she was a pup, but when she started growing she started getting longer, but never any taller.

I stew up the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, bones with garlic green beans carrot some salt pepper until the bones are super soft then he got some every day. The dog that got that treat ate a raw diet his whole life barely ate any dog food he roamed and would catch his own meals.

I got this dog 3rd hand. She was 6 or 7 when I got her and was almost 2 when my buddy found her and her sister roaming. They both were strays for that long. He did nothing with her training except keep her in a fenced in back yard about an acre. Then him and his wife got divorced and he gave her to a co-worker who didn't do anything with her. When I got her she had really bad food aggression issues, couldn't walk on a leash etc. She was fine with other dogs until a little over a yr ago just before we moved 3 strays came out from under my shed and went after my daughter. Big mistake dog squirmed out of her collar and hit those 3 dogs like a line backer. She's fine with dogs that are really mellow or just ignore her it's ones that bark and act tough that she gets on edge with. We use to have a beagle also and she loves beagles even if they bark at her. I've trained a shit ton of dogs and at one point had over 20. I just figure at this point living in an apartment now I'll just wait it out and let her be the only one for a while.

Liver is awesome! At the next meat meet I'll bring some liver pudding and fry it up for ya to try! It's similar to scrapple if you've ever had that

That's how grandma got me hooked on that stuff and blood pudding. A lot of the recipes are handed down generations and them growing up as "homesteaders" not letting anything go to waste especially when the great depression hit.

Ya. It was a lot heavier than I thought it would be. I need to get more screws and now I need to get a few more 2x4x20s so I can make shelves for it. Ended up using the 2 on the bottom as extra support braces. Will be putting in probably 2 shelves

Yup. I’ll have the bottom 2 braces, another set up top hidden and then the shelves will also act as braces. Will finish up tomorrow. Too tired to go back to Home Depot tonight for more screws

When I was stationed in Turkey, a kid told us that Ishkembe was a good hangover soup.

So about 10 of us went to middle of nowhere restaurant and found Ishkembe. We were all halfway through the bowl when I pulled out my Turkish dictionary to figure out what Ishkembe was, turns out it is tripe. Young me didn't know what tripe was so I asked my buddy, he tells me cow intenstine or stomach or whatever, and asks why? Because that is what we are all eating... Half of us were done after that and couldn't finish it, the other half trucked on though and licked their bowls clean.
