I may be out of touch here, but wouldn't it be simple enough to have a bag or a tote on the floor of the truck bed just for pillows and extra bedding? I keep my bag pillows and blankets in my CVT, but if the underside was accessible with the tent open, and enclosed from the elements I personally wouldn't care where they were I could grab them and toss them up all while inside...
No matter what you get there is always a trade off or accommodation to something. you want it taller, up goes your Cg, you want it lighter, faster, more streamlined, then you make an exchange for storage, or find another way to accomplish the same goal (change your bedding).

anyone thought of flipping the long board over with a way to attach the cushion (velcro?) and toss your pillows in the void left by the mat without having to actually store it somewhere (would be stuck to board).

This would also cushion my head when I most certainly will smash my dome into it.

Of all the threads of things to do to my Taco, this one may be the most dangerous! Two of my coworkers have one on order, and I’m really wanting one too! The more I see of these the harder it gets to turn away...
Dammit GFC, you’re making my wallet nervous!

Curious as to what they mean, where it says fitted sheets "from $79". Are there options involved?

Finally got my swingout bumper and found another huge advantage to the GFC design. I can easily access everything in the bed through the side without bothering to swing open the gate. Parking in a tight spot isn't an issue with a gate when you can just open a side panel.

All these pics are killing me. And thanks for the mosquito netting idea @ace7196. Going to be a must add for me.

Went ahead and installed the KBVoodoo caps too. Covering all the holes was a bit tedious but they are really nice for any SB owners on the fence.

Still organizing the bed stuff, but it was a good times up in the mountains... except for the fire

Yeah I gave up on my build thread LOL. Havent posted in there in ages.

Not sure about approx lift, but its the 2.5 Kings all around. The front spring is 700lb, and the rear I am running full OME dakars and an AAL. Tires are 285/75/16s.

I also love my inreach. I was suppose to be backpacking San Bernardino peak saturday morning, but with the giant Valley fire in Forest falls, we werent sure if it was going to happen. The inreach was awesome because I was in contact with my friend all night and early in the morning. She updated me in the morning via Inreach message that the fire had went from 250 acres to 1000+ overnight and our weekend trip had to be rescheduled.

Is there or will there be a GFC solution to lock the roof down?

I thought about setting up a netting under the fixed portion of the bed of the GFC. looks like it would perfectly fit a couple pillows and blankets. Just need to find a heavy duty net that fits about that size.

I don't recall who posted it on Instagram, but it looked to be this net on a GFC - https://raingler.com/collections/toyota/products/universal-ceiling-storage-net
