I was going to say to compare the Rigid mounts to the Rago Fabrication mounts for the 2005-2011 to see if there is more clearance, but Rage of Fabrication no longer lists them on their site.

I contacted Rago Fabrication to see what the deal was, they are just temporarily out of stock so they took the page down. They said they are catching up on production now and would put the pages back up.

Looking at the Rago Fabrication mounts it looks like the same thing may be true for cover clearance as the Rigid mounts. I bet a little work with a Dremel to allow clearance for the cover clips would make it work.

    thanks

ugh i really was hoping the brackets that were available would work with the covers dont get why they would design the brackets and couldnt use them.
believe it or not the person from rigid said “To be fair, the amber covers aren’t going to make a massive difference compared to an actual amber led.”

i think the pics that were posted here look great and exactly what i want

I hope to get some amber covers to give a measured comparison.

if only some one who had a 2nd gen that had these already could get the amber covers and than see if could get the amber covers to work by modifying the brackets.
im not too good at that

This is true. Those won't work on the early 2nd Gens. If people are interested, I can call Rago to see if I can squeeze some specifics out of them on those fog light brackets to see if we can make our G4s (or even G34s) somehow work with them. Likely Dremel work would be required... but hell, I would have done that if I still had my stock bumper.

Don't take my word for it... but it looks like you would just need to notch out the sides (maybe 1/4" each side) of the Rago 2nd gen brackets to allow the covers to snap on. But, I'd call Rago and Rigid if I were you.

whoever runs rigid’s instsgram said no if i asked if i modify their bracket if it would work. but who knows if that person knows more than someone else??

so rago’s are designed a little differently than rigid?
but they would work with rigid’s pods?

should just contact someone and than ship em the pods and the covers and see if they would mod em there to work and than ship to me

I agree, some minor side trimming of the opening would allow clearance for the covers to snap on without interfering with the mounts.

you think?? based off this pic it looks like the pod is like pushed back and flush with the bezel.

I was referring to the Rago Fab mounts where the face of the pod protrudes. Looks like the Rigid mounts would require extensive modifying.
