It needed way more fuel and voltage to the injectors. Tor was saying injector dynamics require a ton we didn’t know that a ton was that much but he squared us away

Watched the video on here just now. Much cleaner than looking through the grainy window of Android shared videos.

Sounds much better here. Does your exhaust stop at the end of the downpipe?

You are running Arcenik's tune, basically, correct?

@Torspd we didn't do anything but set the cranking and prime pulse high to get it started. Once he gets the wideband installed he can start tuning.

What I am curious of, is if it is Arcenik's tune, minus the settings of course, and it being a current tune, then the timing map should be quite close to what is needed for Jack's engine. Both being 3rz 's, and Arcenik's not being in a million shiny pieces.

Is there difference from Arcenik's being a distributor engine where the dizzy is also the cam sensor vs Jake's being COP with a dedicated cam sensor?

If the cams are the same, engine degree the same, valves the same, compression, then VE will be the ~same. How it gets thw ignition source, and quality of that ignition sourcing will change.

Externally, boost and CFM per psi will change as well, if their systems are different.

Starting to get a better idle today thanks to @Hacktacular... he’s doing a damn good job considering hes 1000 miles away. Definitely starting to wish i knew more when buying the “kit” from paradise 1700cc injectors are definitely finicky

Also it got up to temperature while working out the idle and no issues with that... YET... small victories each day

Are you using the closed loop idle control? It should be easy using it, but I suspect the 1700cc injectors are going to give you problems.

Idle quality will likely always be a bit uneasy with injectors that large I'd think. 800-1100cc I would think would be a better match right?

The map was setup for ID750's and it could just barely hold 500-700 idle at 14.7. I have never used 1700cc, but I a curious to see what it settles at. ID's are the best your going to get so.

Not with Injector Dynamics injectors. Even with 2k cc injectors, idle can be tuned spot on, from the fueling perspective.

I was in the dipping into the low pulse width area on the injector map. I could of raised the idle or lowered the AFR but I was going for a stock setup. It would hold 14.7 but would fluctuate just a little.

Obviously a different engine, but I have a steady ~780 rpm idle, with a 14.9 AFR, on my 1300cc I.D.'s. Ran mine a tad higher at idle, just to save a tad of fuel.

All in the tuning. As we all know.

It would bounce a tad when the A/C was turned on. So I made 4 cells have the same idle fueling numbers, two adjacent vacuum columns, and that solved that idle bouncing.

I attribute most of it to the ID750 being the older style injectors. I have heard really good things about the newer IDX's. Also the Haltech does not give you a way to put in the low pulse with compensation, which would most likely solved the issue.
    .
    .
    .
    .
But it really was probably my inability to tune them.
