After having made 12 posts here already, I suppose I should take the time to introduce myself.

I don't own a Toyota at all (unless you count a Lexus). Right now, my truck is a 1991 Dodge Dakota.

But that Dakota has only two doors and no back seat. My 89 year old mother will be coming to live with us and since my other two cars are both 2-seaters (or at least suitable only for two..technically that Lexus SC430 has a back seat, but nothing but a 25 lbs. dog can sit back there), I need something with a back seat.

The truck needs a decent back seat, decent gas mileage for commuting to work and a bed big enough to hold a motorcycle. The gas mileage requirement means that nothing but a Tacoma will fill the bill. From what I can tell, a V6 Tacoma gets about 3 mpg in town better than anything else available. Couple that with Toyota's reputation for reliability and 230 hp and you've got a future Tacoma owner.

As a veteran of the Corvette Forum, I know just how much you can find out about your future vehicle by participation on these forums. So for awhile, you guys will just have to put up with a Dakota owner on the forum asking really stupid questions. I hope I don't make a pest of myself.
