    That’s what I was thinking as well, if that’s the case then I’ll go with red as I can see the white being too much on the eyes

    Being involved in a fire department, most of our interior lights are red. Easy on the eye? I would say yes. Provides sufficient light to see what you're doing, but also not blinding for the driver. Is the color ironic? Yes, but I've never dealt with any other color than white or red. Maybe that's what he's going for? If someone turns a light on, it's not bad for the driver. I could be wrong, just my assumption.

    Glad I ordered the dual colored map lights when I did. I usually drag my ass to buy things for the truck but you always make qualify products. Thanks again for all the effort!

    Fingers crossed for dual colored dome lights in the future. I’ll hold out for those just in case.

    I went red for map lights, white for dome.

    The red is easier on your eyes in terms of night vision. You can have the red lights on and still see what’s in front of you vs white which will reduce your night sight.

    But white dome for when I really need to search around for something.

    Ordered both map and dome in white but messed up the shipping destinations and they have different destinations. One's in Santa Rosa, the other San Anselmo. You can save some time and postage by sending them both to San Anselmo.

    Wow, sneaky after work when not online tactics, lol. :spy:..........got a white dome in gray anyway. Regular cab so map lights are in the Gentex 341 mirror. Whenever black domes with white light become available I'll buy another and gift the gray one. Staying tuned............

    You could just paint it. The boards are just held in place with clips on the backside.

    I’m going to have to paint my maps cause my overhead console is black sand pearl. Will maybe do the dome light to match.

    I'm not Meso, but red lights are used for night time so your eyes have less trouble readjusting.

    Same reason rear running lights & break lights are red.
