Imo the best way to have good numbers for mpg after tires is to track a long trip with a gps. Take off with a full tank, and fill up at destination, before wheeling, of course. Gps will give you a pretty accurate reading on miles

Edit: i say that because I don't trust tire size numbers vs real life height lol

 

Ha! I monitor engine load with my scan gauge, which is just how hard the engine is working. I use that to keep it in the optimal gear. It’s reallt changed my driving habits

Shit no you can’t. My welder was acting all sorts of funky today. Rather than one long steady “bzzzzzzzzttttt” while laying a bead it was like “bzt-bzt-bztbztbztbzt” like a constant on and off. I messed around with all settings and it continued. I think the metal was too dirty and the ground was bad.

So that made them worse than usual.

My thoughts precisely. The boogers you see is after grinding, so you can only imagine before. It wasn’t pretty (and still isn’t). The thought crossed my mind to use some bondo to smooth it all out, but then I remembered I don’t care and I’m lazy.

 

Ill never use bondo filler after using rage ultimate. It sands so easy! Well worth the 40$ a quart.

 

My thoughts exactly. I joked a little about the tubes or something the other day and I hope you didn't take it the wrong way. What you do is an inspiration to us all and I really enjoy your build and BS thread. I probably wouldn't even own a welder or 3 grinders if it wasnt for all the badass fookery you post here every day !

You got it all wrong, a lift kit increases MPG because it allows the air to flow under the truck more freely instead of having to try and squeeze through a tighter space. See if she'll buy that.
