    No I do not take my truck to any place that offers service. I do 99% of the work myself because I have taken previous vehicles to service departments and they have always failed to look into what I asked.

    See:
    Unless Toyota creates a recall they do not go above and beyond.

    It started on the 2012 models and I believe there is a recall for it now, I just did it as a preventative measure because if the secondary air pump fails its over 1000k to fix.

    It’s not a recall it’s just a support program. They just reimburse/cover it if it fails and put another shitty one back in.

    Plasti-Dip. I tried leaving the door logo on, masking around them, spraying and then weeding out the over spray. Such a total PITB!!! So for the other badges I used fishing line to remove them, sprayed then with several coats including a clear coat. To reapply it was simple because there was residual stickum I used to realign them properly. I went to Autozone and bought "Emblem" glue, dabbed it on the existing stickum goo and I was done.
