I just installed the TRD intake. I love how it sounds, you really can't tell it is there when just strolling along then you give it some juice and it sounds great! I know that some say that it only makes sound but it seems to have a better throttle response:) I know that the tacoma is not a rocket but I really like it. I ordered the TRD exhaust at the same time but it has not come in yet.

Sprink669, I am debating of doing the same thing, but currently a little hesitant because not sure of the benefits. Did you really notice a boost in HP & gas mileage/torque? what made you go with the TRD vs the AFE CAI stage 2?

it is the new style of intake. i do not have a cam right now. It seems like it has a little boost in throttle response and the butt dyno tells me that it made a difference. I have had good luck in the past with TRD parts so I went with them again for the Tacoma. I got the CAI and the exhaust through shoptrd.com
the CAI came within 2 days of ordering (I even ordered it in the evening) and the exhaust is in route. It should be here on tuesday.

I cannot prove any gains and from my many years around cars and trucks I would guess no measureable gains in power or mpg.

That said I like the sound!!!!!

Side note Sprink669 my son is a Sprinklerfitter as well!

TRD cat back exhaust, rain visors, limo tent on back pasenger windows and 35 percent added to back factory tint window. 35 on front driver and pasenger side. Sport pedals, all weather fl mats, roof rack, front skid plate , BFG ALL TERAINS including spare. ALL installed by dealer.

What did they change about them? Are they actually covered under waranty now? They use to void your waranty.

    Yes sir.
It has been real slow here as well.
He has had some real life lessons with this depression.
He says all the old timers allways warned him about the lean times and he says he is getting a good look at it now.

Hope stuff gets better soon for everyone.
    Take care.
