I had LR UCAs installed on my truck a couple of months ago and I noticed today that the boots that surround the ball joints appear to be leaking grease from the bottom. Has anyone else noticed this with their UCA's? or is this a normal occurrence?

Normal, mine do that and have since day 1. Had them on for 2 years now with no issues.

Originally I might have put too much grease in the boot, but whenever I grease them now (every 3k or so miles as recommended by SPC) the old grease has to go somewhere, so it comes out the bottom of the boot. Nothing to worry about IMO.

Only downside is it can be messy but just be careful not to over grease them...just a couple pumps is all they need going forward, every oil change or so. Inevitably you'll have to clean up some of the old grease that gets forced out.

yeah this is something to be careful of as well..you don't want the boot to tear or you're more likely to get dirt/water in there which is no good for the ball joint.

The bottom of the boot isn't seamlessly attached to anything so it makes sense the grease would come out the bottom, but if it's overfilled it could force itself out of a hole in the side.

It’s a hairline half inch crack in the middle of the boot. I just wrapped it up with electrical tape, but yeah I loaded that boot with ky jelly
