Any word? I’m curious what they have to say.

Have you had a chance to get out on any trails? If so, how do they compare to others?

Finished up my rear yesterday, paired the 8100s up with rxt springs and icons accompanying bolt on bump stop kit. They feel great, nothing crazy yet until I retorque everything in the rear, but I hit some speed bumps at about 55 to give it a feel and the rear feels amazing. Truck also seems to corner better now, not sure if that's related, but a definite improvement from where it was after I ditched my sway bar. I will say the shocks are now the limiting factor on rear suspension articulation, by about 3/4 inch. @Despized ever think about figuring out a rear limit strap solution for tacomas? I checked around and didn't see anything.

Same question, I've been waiting to have these fitted on my FJ but it's extremely hard to get a clear response from Bilstein. Their own reps have no idea when they will be available, Sigh.

    Update:

Bed setup now complete and ride is spot on and (to my eye) leveled out. Was contemplating GFC but went with topperEZlift very stoked so far.

I am thinking the exact same thing. One thing I like about ADS is the extended travel with 700# springs so you don't have to preload them as much if at all. On the other hand, the Bilsteins offer one hell of a dampening system with superb technology. At this price point Im not going to sweat $400, I just don't know which ones to get. I do want 2.25" of lift though and it seems I would be maxing the Billys to do this. Thoughts?

How much armor weight are you running. Do you like the ride? is it smooth on-road (like you don't feel all the chunked up semi ruts and cracks vibrating the steering wheel on long drives?)

Running a SSO slimline with smittybilt winch, probably about 90lbs over stock weight with that, a alluminum ifs skid, and sliders. Ride is great, ditched the sway bar when I swapped to the heavier 650 14x3 eibach coils. Had a little bit of sag when I added the bumper before swapping coils, which was to be expected. I have almost 20k on my 8112/8100s now and still digging them, rears are paired with icon rxt packs and hydro bumps.

Do you think (if you wanted more lift) it would be a good idea or bad idea to add a 3/4” top plate spacer and decrease the preload so you get let’s say 2.25” of lift but less preload?

You do realize that total would be $1500 for the fronts and they retail for $1600. What is your time, customer Service, and peace of mind worth?

Yah the dildos at 4wheelparts couldn’t put the ECGS bushing in my driver CV so I went out to there shop and helped make it happen and then after they spilled my diff fluid everywhere the guy was like, “I’ll refill it and won’t charge you”, I’m like, “you damn right after I have to come out here and help you get the CV out.”

Anyone have first hand experience comparing these to a tuned Fox shock? I'm unhappy with the ride of my custom tuned Fox coilovers and I'm looking to maybe try these out. The Fox's are valved too stiff and are harsh on hard hits, wondering how these handle potholes and rough jarring terrain.

    Hi Guys,

Im thinking of going with the Bilsteins 8112 kit from headstrong vs a ADS level 3.. what are your guys thoughts? they seem pretty similar priced. Im thinking 8112s as the reviews are really good and being a little shallow i like the way they look vs ADS.

cant really find to much info on the bilsteins 8112s and just a little bit more on ADS.
