Waiting for some parts coming this/next week needs new sparks, belts and going to open top head to check if chain guides are metal or plastic.
Drained and flushed radiator and power steering, tranny, engine and diff oils are next.

I'll get it running sooner or later...

 

Forgot to mention I did my front end lift the other day! Absolutely love it!! Hopefully I get the rear in soon!

The other day the wife and I went out to do some running around, we got to the grocery store and my blood sugar all of a sudden dropped and I just was not myself with in 2 minutes it just happens sometimes.

I remember a black 3rd gen, that had a sweet front bumper with winch installed. I saw the guy walking towards it and that is the last thing I remember.

Wife said I tried but could not talk to the guy, my mouth would not work. I must of looked like an idiot.

She just had to tell him my blood sugar was low and usher me away as I was mumbling




@Norilsk I love what you have picked up, my co-worker and good friend is one of the main reasons I have a tacoma. He still has this blue truck (95) and is fixing all the rust on it right now. He sold the red 4runner but kept the bumper as it fits the truck as well

Using up another free oil change this weekend also.
Taking the truck in Saturday to the dealership, that noise i talked about was never fixed and is worse now. I hate to be that guy, but im doing the, no other zr2s sound like this. I’ve tried everything to find the problem, its a brand new truck.
I’ll be leaving it with them until its fixed, they told me “couldn’t replicate” i can make the noise every time and its when im going slow, I believe its the steering somehow.

 

Fuck... That sucks. Hopefully they find whatever the fuck it is. Are you on any zr2 forums? Maybe the community has some answers/ideas.

Hey tac I fiiiiiiiiiinally got around to putting the rack up you sold me. Baja ended up sending me low pro mounts to bring it down more. It will be very useful once I start camping again. But for now.... baby boy just came

Sounds like you have a lot done already. Come as is, unless there's something big missing.

 

Got my alignment done today, drives so much better. I'm waiting on ramps and tire carrier to be finished up in the next week or so and I'm done.
I need to save for front suspension upgrade. The weight is bringing things down which is affecting the camber a bit. Need a stronger spring to push things bck up pre bumper/skids.

 

My big thing is the leaf springs. Once broken twice shy. #fuckallpro

 

What are you going with?

Well, I lifted this thing. If you think this is gonna keep your front afloat in the water...ima thinking you gonna be a lil disappointed!

 

Alright boys, I am at the final stages of my back shelf install and I need some input.

The bottle jack with stand is slightly taller than my shelf, so in order to put it behind the passenger seat I would need to cut a small notch in the shelf. No big deal. The only problem I see with this is it is under the shelf, and if the fridge is in the back. That is quite the adventure to get the jack out if needed.

I had planned on putting it behind the driver seat, on top of the shelf. With an inlay cut into it on my buddies CNC machine, then securing it in the inlay. I think now though that it will just take up to much room behind the driver seat that I want for other things.

Now that I think on it more the rare time I will need to actually get it the jack out, it should be under the shelf for space saving.

Thoughts?

 

I would drill self tapping screws into the cross bar at the rear and mount it high up enough so you have clearance to open the shelf. If you have a steel shop near by you can grab a 4-6" wide piece of angle iron or aluminum and use that as a base. off that you can mount some ring clamps.
