Replacing the diff seal isn't too terribly hard. The hardest part IMO was setting it to the perfect depth so it wouldn't leak. It took me 3 tries before I got it right! As far as stuck drain plug, I forget which kind. Is it the kind that accepts an allen key, or just the regular bolt?

I hear you about the extra work. They're ramping up our responsibilities at work and it's stressful. And no extra pay!

    Ahaha damn you're far behind.

I removed fender flares, and am building tube doors. Now you're all caught up! Oh and I got a new front bumper and wider tires. Not sure if you were here for that.

@08TRDOFFROAD my truck died a tragic death in flooding we had. STOAA was disband. The Lair lost its flair for a bit but now we are getting the mojo back. @EatSleepTacos started #RandyFab he had decals made out

    What is the right depth?

It is the front diff drain, accepts the 10 mm allen. When I was trying to get it out with a breaker bar, I felt like it was just going to strip out. Haven't tried hitting it with the impact yet.

I don't remember off the top of my head. When you remove the CV axle, you'll see that there's a little lip. You basically install it flush with the lip. And use OEM!

For the drain bolt, you've got a couple options. Keep trying and hope you don't round, use a small torch to heat the area, or use a air hammer with a chisel to rip it open. Then just replace the bolt.

My wife and I have started shopping for a 06-09 4Runner...Decided we needed a bigger vehicle (3rd row) and another capable of towing. It will be replacing my wife's Camry.

We went and looked at one a week ago, a 2007 with 128k miles, but it turned out to be a rust bucket bought at auction from the northeast...

If only I were skinny enough to feel like I could pull off a pair of cowboy boots...

If you do, I’ll do that. Only takes 10 min to swap on the tube doors. I’ll just cover my doors in a tarp at your camp site
