    Most likely trans pan temp and torque converter temp. They will be equal when trans is locked for a period of time and the tc temp will be higher when not locked.

    Correct, there are two trans temps. TRA is fluid temp leaving the trans, TRB is the pan temp...or something close to that. Generally on the highway they read the same. TRB fluctuates very slowly, TRA warms quickly at red lights and shifting ect.
    [​IMG] Here is me at a red light today. Mind the dust LOL yikes.

    Go here and have a look around, there are two trans temps available at least on my 2013 https://www.scangauge.com/support/x-gauge-commands/toyota-lexus-scion/
    I also have individual tire pressure via the scangauge Xgauges which is pretty neat too. The hard part with Xgauges is there are several that you have to try, to find the ones that work.

    So with that being said. That is where I have gotten the trans code for what I have now. Did you just try using the alternate codes to see if they gave you a different temp?

    Yes, try more of the codes, another one on the list should work...probably the one above or below what you already have working. Not sure if all Tacoma's have both temp sensors however.

    Good point. I will look my truck up and see how many temp sensors it has and where they are. Boy I really hope I have been monitoring after the TC and not the pan!

    They must be called Revolution sensors, because I can not find a temp sensor at all on the transmission.

    Does the temp rise when stopped in gear for a couple minutes and then drop down some when cruising? If so that is after the TC. If temps are more stable that's pan temp.

    I'm not positive but I think all 2nd genes have both sensors.

    I'm not sure. Check the part number of your radiator and one for a 2014 1gr. If they are the same radiator then it should fit with probably the same mods.

    I live in HOT Las Vegas,and never had a problem with the factory radiator,so what would I be gaing by putting an aluminum radiator in ?

    If you are checking your actual temps not the factory gauge and you have no problems then no worries. The main benefit for you would be that there are no plastic end tanks and subsequent seals to fail. The CSF is all aluminum so no seals to fail or plastic to crack. The stock radiators from what I've heard last about 10 years.

    Many of the people that got them are supercharged and pushing much more power hence the requirement for additional cooling.

    In my Ron Davis radiator thread, it was discussed and part numbers presented, that they are the same.
