Do you want me to nearly rear end someone and show you my dash yelling at me to BRAKE?

I wonder if that is why my blind spot monitor doesn't work anymore. Failed shortly after my lift was installed, but could have been a coincidence. (2016 TRD Sport)

I thought I read it somewhere in the manual, not to change tire size. it makes sense, the computer may not be able to properly determine when to brake.

I changed mine slightly. I run 265 70 17 KO2s. Stock sport tires were toyo 265 65 17. I use the cruise control pretty frequently. The automatic braking on the cruise control seems to work the same to me.

Been lurking and reading these forums for a while. Joined today so I could chime in about this thread as I’ve been reading and researching this exact topic...

Have had 2 different CO dealers tell me this month they will no longer lift 2018s per new Toyota corporate policies.

However, I just got off the phone with a 3rd one who said there was a recent Toyota safety bulletin about a month ago about this exact topic... and that they can now do lifts again and shut off just the Pre-Collission auto-braking part of the TSS while leaving the adaptive cruise control, parking alerts, more convenience type features intact, even adjusting the TSS system for that, etc... but that the high stakes shit they have to disable. We didn’t discuss the blind spot monitoring so not sure about that one. So at least from this local dealer, now it seems just to be the standard lines again about warranty as before, wherein if your aftermarket parts directly affect issues, blah blah blah...

Just FYI for those following this topic.

I don’t believe auto braking is a thing

Few months back I was using the adaptive cruise had it set for 120 on the highway at some point I reached a completely stoped traffic jam the cruise slow the truck down to 50 but once it drops below 49 it disengages the cruise then you just roll freely until the truck screams brake
it’s never auto braked for me I had to press the brake

No idea what he's talking about. Had my 2018 lifted by Adventure Motors in KC. TSS sensors work just fine.
