I have no problem with changing the stitch or insert colors but my triple black look as factory as anything on a showroom floor. When I bought mine 2.5 years ago I second guessed not getting different color stitching or inserts. I just ran into a new Taco owner at the store and he was amazed at how tight and factory mine looked after 2.5 years of daily use. You just can't go wrong with the triple black IMO. Sounds like you already made the right decision to buy Clazzios. From here on out you can't make a wrong decision. I have not seen a combination that did not look good. Seen some that weren't my taste but they all look great compared to the factory cloth. I only wish 2016 had a leather option. I have owned 15 Ford trucks and 4 Toyota trucks. Ford, at least through 2014, had a leather option in every truck except work trucks. Toyota was generations behind in offering leather. When I bought my 2016 I only wanted an access cab so there was no leather. Did not want to buy a Limited crew just to get leather.

Just installed new Clazzios, Dark Gray on Dark Gray with Dark Gray thread. Absolutely awesome!
(Note: the dark gray is actually more of a medium gray color.)IMG_0335.jpg

No, I'm OCD too, so I get it. I actually ordered sample swatches to pick. I went back and forth on several combos. The dark gray stitching is more contrast in person for sure. I'm afraid your right that the light gray would look basically white. And the gray leather inserts aren't quite as light in person, but IMHO I think is the perfect contrast with the black. Looks great and I wouldn't change a thing if I did it over again. I also pulled off the back hard pieces behind back seats and placed them back on over the covers once installed. Looks great and factory that way.

HA! I have sample swatches sitting in front of me right now. Leaning strongly to the dark gray stitching thanks to you! I definitely want to pull off the back hard pieces like you did and install them under. Looks way better and keeps the functionality IMO. Seems easy enough to take the covers off but was it difficult to put them back on with the seat covers underneath? Did you have to cut a hole in the cover for the seat latch? Any tips? I searched but couldn't find any DIY installation under the hard back seats.

There's already a spot for the latch, but you have to cut numerous spots for the plastic back pieces. That part made me a little nervous at first, but it wasn't too bad. To get the pieces off, there are some plastic corner pieces at the bottom of them that just pop off. Then there are 2 screws on the short one, and three on the longer one. Then once screws out, the pieces just slide downward and off. After off and covers installed, I just held the plastic parts on top of the covers to get an idea of where the hooks catch. Then u can feel the metal bars under the covers that the plastic hooks on covers hold. Cut just underneath the metal bars. Then they will slide up and under the bars. To get the screws back in through the covers, I just used a slightly longer/sharper screw to go through the material, then back it out and put in the screws originally there.

Mine had a faint odor for a couple of weeks when I installed them. That was 2.5 years ago. Now the only odor is from the spray I treat them with. No other odors.

Mine have been in less than a week, but to me only smell like new-car smell. I wouldn't mind if that stuck around. Although my truck still kinda smelled new anyway.

No odor at all. One of the best purchases I've made.

That's so strange... mine have a very strong odor... for what it's worth, I got the full PVC ones so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.
