Big ones are King suspension, SSO bumper w/winch, Pelfreybuilt sliders.
Hopefully it is a good truck. Competition is good for the consumer :). Helps spur innovation and keeps pricing down. Though it'll be a long time until we see how reliable it is compared to the Tacoma.

    Yup, sounds fun

“all-new 2019 Ranger is powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that has been specifically engineered to optimize your efficiency and capability. This 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine is able to do that thanks to its direct fuel injection technology, its twin-scroll turbocharger and its enhanced 16-valve design. This engine also features a forged-steel crankshaft and connecting rods for added durability, along with chain-driven overhead cams. The 2019 Ford Ranger’s power, efficiency and capability is further optimized thanks to its class-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission.”

I don’t really care if that truck chooches harder than my truck.....the styling is so boring, I think I’d go nuts looking at it.

I honestly hope the ranger does well even better then Colorado. I still prefer the Tacoma hands down.

Price point wise, it will be less than the Tacoma as a base model for each trim, but not as feature rich. To make the Ranger equal with features, it easily exceeds the Tacoma’s price point making it ultimately more expensive. Needless to say, Ford will offer huge discounts to break into the market, but they’ll also be eating away at their own F150 model sales.

Not being biased because I own a Tacoma, and I WILL give credit where credit is due, but in my opinion the ranger still looks blah front end design wise...like something cool maybe 10 years ago? The Tacoma next to it looks so much more modern day and aggressive. I guess I still made the right decision!

If the F150 gets any bigger, it cannot continue to be considered mid-sized unless they classify the ranger as compact truck lol...the F150 is larger than the Tacoma but still considered mid sized. Does anyone know if that is a classification a manufacturer gives their own vehicles or a market/industry classification/standard that a manufacturer gets from some 3rd party?

Not sure, but the entire F-Series is lumped into one category against the Tacoma if I interpret the sales data correctly.

I don’t think the F150 is considered a midsize truck. It is a full size truck in the same category as a Ram/Chevy/GMC 1500, Tundra and Nissan Titan.

Ok that makes a little more sense then! So the Ranger is Fords answer to the Tacoma amongst other “mid-sized” makes they’re wanting to compete with? A little late to the game from thier Ranger hiatus though I’d say...thier sales might likely start off with a Ford cult following or loyal to the brand but wanting something smaller than what they currently offer. Does anyone know if the ranger is going to come in a double cab flavor to keep up with the times? I personally have a hard time imagining it. Last image in my head of a Ranger I had was from back in the day when it wasn’t even access an cab. But I wasn’t into trucks back then so I probably didn’t pay attention. What I could confidently say though is it’s very rare to still see the last gen Ranger ever made on the road still, but toyota trucks still out weigh vintage volume still in use on the road, that makes me feel real good!

    I like it so far.

Good to have competition between the brands, keeps Toyota on their feet for changes on Gen 3's later on down the road

Extended and double cabs, no regular cab. Just like GM and Toyota from what I’ve read.

The chevy colorado and I'd bet the ford ranger will have the same looking interior.. boring. Not sure why but as others noted - the chevy inside looks like a cavalier and the ranger will be very taurus. (I personally think it's the fabrics and plastics they use) very public transport .
