Have you guys tried the ratchet strap beading method? Pretty simple looking- have not done it yet though.

I've done it to reset the bead on a backhoe tire, works good.

Yeah just make sure you get the ratchet strap off before it gets too tight otherwise releasing the tension can be a rather unpleasant experience.

Nothing too crazy yet but, some light off-roading turned into testing how well the pro skid plate works...still not sure if the access door popped off on the trail or the dealer forgot about it....:annoyed:

Yeah once the bead it set, it's not a bad idea to let the air out and remove the strap.

You can most definitely find that in the garbage of the dealership, guaranteed that's where it ended up..

@Norilsk care to share some of yours? hahahahha

Mines mostly all just cosmetic stuff. Lots of pinstripes, gave my diff and drive shaft a nasty bang on the weekend though some new scratches on the U joint/shaft and pumpkin. and I dunno what I did but I knocked my alignment out hard on the same trip just got it fixed yesterday but when we left the trail my steering wheel was no longer straight when going straight

Otherwise skid plates and sliders take most of the abuse.

So far I think you're the winner with actual body damage. Everything else so far has been superficial... Aside from the rear axle being pulled out but that was brute stupidity so no cool points for that move.

I do have melted plastic above the exhaust pioe from it being shoved upwards by a rock but I don't care about plastic anyways.

Like most other "beadlocks" on the internet, they're not real beadlocks. They're a cosmetic ring only and now just collect scratches and dings.

If only my sliders were a few inches longer, it would have kicked me out onto my tire. All forward momentum took a 90 and I slid straight into a stump2018-01-21_07-46-51.jpg
