I'm allergic to cities

 

My FIL is a caretaker out here and has been for 30+ years. He manages over 1k acres and is also allowed to raise his own animals or basically whatever else he wants on the property as long as he keeps the homes on the property plowed and mowed etc...

Housing has been free forever and his kids grew up in the nicest piece of property our town has. My brother in law is supposedly trying to follow in those footsteps once the FIL retires.

You might actually want to try to find a job like that! He's a very happy man.

My dad did some minor care taking in the off season too. Just places that were former customers and they saw that he was trustworthy and very handy with problems.
