    Black bears scare fairly easily with enough people/dogs yelling/barking at them.. the only real time for concern is when everyone is asleep, but Im sure you'll hear them rummaging through stuff, wake up and scare them off... More like giant scary raccoons

    Here is a clip of me driving through reward mine. Right near Lone Pine and only a 10 minute drive from the highway. Definitely need 4x4 and good tires, the trail is very rocky and sharp.

    Those little buggers are all over but from my experience they tend to stick to higher altitude more rocky terrain. Squirrels and raccoons will be the main concern where we are lol

    That's why I spent my last 3 weekend in a row up there, been going up there for a decade or so and still barley scratched the surface of all the things to do and explore.
