The GPS navigation is really annoying. Took me forever to figure out how to cancel a direction. Its fine if you have preloaded places you need(but half the time you already know how to get there anyways). I just use my phone 90% of the time now. It is way easier.

I really hate touchscreen in everything. My friend had an old accord with navigation and toggle buttons. Was super easy to use. Touchscreen is nice for the keyboard but zooming in and stuff like that is not great.

Agree 100%. It's not intuitive at all. And is way off on most locations I choose, especially my own office. The blue flag puts my across the street, and down a half block. The update is a year old, but the building is way older!

Good on you mate. You either have a high paying job to dump money into a depreciating asset, or you don't have kids.

Mostly just a lack of concern and constant road trips. That's valuable real estate up top - can fit at least four more car seats up there.

That's a rhetorical question. I have one vehicle, and drive it daily.

It's not for others. It's for me and my short legs. Noticed on my buddy's Tundra it had the electric memory seats, which moved back and forward when you close the door. Very nice added value, and quite frankly for the amount Toyota charges I would like to see more trims with this feature. That's my opinion though.

Me neither. A car wash dryer blows it right off every time I go.

I have had my 18 sport for about the same amount of time.
I love the truck, my favorite vehicle I have owned.
The infotainment system in general is at least 5 years behind where is should be. Our 2011 Honda has a better infotainment setup. I recently rented a cheap Chevy sedan that had a way way nicer setup. In my openion Toyota is behind the curve here. I’m sure others love it and that is great for you.

Gas mileage is as advertised (when taking the fudge factor that every manufacturer puts in) and I knew that it would not be great. I wish it were better as I hear guys I work with that have full size trucks getting better gas mileage.

    The transmission....... ugh.

I do love this truck, none of these issues are deal breakers, every vehicle has its issues and every part of every vehicle can not please everyone.

IMO the Tacoma is the best looking truck out there. The cabin is comfortable and works great for my family. The size of the truck is great, the adaptive cruise control is my favorite option/gadget that I have ever had on a car. I hope to get 100,000 miles out of it with bare minimum maintenance and then trade it in for the 4th gen diesel

    Got ya, kinda :)
For the amount Yoyota charges ??? For a truck that holds its value like no other ?! Or for a truck that is an easy 300,000 mile rig ? Very reliable and fun to own.
Price it against anything else out there worth driving .....I think you will be surprised :)
The old saying is true , you get what you pay for:thumbsup:

I tore Toyota a new one about what trash Entune is when I took the owner satisfaction survey. I doubt they care. It is really a shame because just about everything else on my truck is killer.

Here's my latest, which I found.

    I'm driving
I tell Entune: "Navigate to Starbucks."
    Entune thinks for a minute
Entune puts some Starbucks search results on the screen that it gets through my paired phone
I have to look over at the screen and touch one
I have to touch the little "show on map" button
Then I have to touch another button to start navigation
Then I have to accept the route choice

    So fucking dumb!

True, but you really shouldn’t have your kids riding on the roof.

LOL. There is going to be some distracted driving claims due to the amount of menu selections we have to go through!

I ain't gonna raise no pussy! Hahah.

On a serious note, Entune blows holes. The split screen navigation is nice for monitoring gas and food on long trips though. But yes, a to b it drive me nuts.
