It seems that one of the biggest questions is which rear springs or overloads to use. Here's my monkey wrench to that discussion...I'm buying an 09 and it has the Firestone rear air bags. Does not have the 4 leaf recall performed yet, but I'll do that when I pick up the vehicle next week. Will these airbags remedy accomplish the same rear lift issue that the overrider or new leaf packs do, especially with the new 4 leaf Toyota springs?

If you put some air in the airbags it will provide lift. I don't know how the ride would compare to an add a leaf overload spring.

I would guess the ride would be worse than an AAL, particularly without additional weight in the bed.

Well, I'll see what it takes to bring it level and see how the ride is, but I won't have a comparator unless I install the AAL's. At that point, I don't know if I need to remove the airbags or have the factory spring pack (or replacement pack), the AAL's (if I get those) and the air bag all in place at the same time.

I just purchase new Baja kit and put multiple coats of clear on shock bodies. Since these were not zinc coated.

Good question. They were about $600-$700 earlier this year when dealerships cleaned out their inventory. So I am hoping someone would sell me their new kit around that price range also.

Supply and demand. I doubt you'll get one for the discounted rate from anyone now. Even just after these sold out, some people were reselling for $1k. Mine's still sitting on a shelf, but only because I'm lazy. Someday I'll get it installed, if I don't sell the truck first.

Life of the time you own the truck most likely if you take care of it.

I installed this combination along with Headstrong's 3 leaf AAL's and left the Sumo springs that were already on my '17 TRD 4X4 AT Sport a couple weekends ago.

If it's lift on your Gen III your after, I would recommend looking at a different solution as the gain was minimal....
but performance wise, I am very happy with the ride this combination gives !

An obvious heightened level and feeling of sure footed-ness over the stock Hitachi's as well as reduced bump steer is apparent.
The setup also handled my #4500 trailer very well.

Worth the effort and $800+ expense in my opinion

If you don't off road, you can get a lot of life out of those shocks. Easily 75k miles plus if it's just street driving.
