Hey CZ, I see your sliders there. 2inch or 3 inch lift? Looks great!!

 

It’s two inch with all the weight on it - tent / sliders / bumper. It’s sits raked 1.5 inch higher in rear.

Are the sliders bare steel unpainted? Did you do any sealing for rust protection?

Did you customize those halos yourself or did you buy them in that angry configuration?

 

I sent lights out to be retrofit with those in it.

Did anyone notice the difference in paint color? I've seen a few like this and noticed in this pic. Is this common?

 

Very common on the MGM's. I believe it's caused by the orientation of the metal flake in the paint.

 

If the doors were not painted during the same run, then there was probably some variation between either the batch of paint, the painting process, or both.

 

Even on the 18s? Double checking mine tomorrow

 

It's not just Tacoma's or even Toyota's. If you look close on any dark colored metallic paint vehicle you will see this if the lighting is right.

 

It's mostly noticeable in certain types of lighting? You will usually see it when the sun is low on the horizon.

 

I’m still sticking to my theory that there are *slight* variations in the angles of the parts. The lighting has an abrupt change on the b pillar vinyl, indicative of angle change, not paint.

 

Just need to figure out the wheels now.
