Haven't even driven 100 miles on them yet and I can't believe the night and day difference between them and the KM2's. And I thought those were butter. Road noise is definitely less than the KM2's. I am not sure if they just balance better or what. Have not tested them out off road yet. But I have no doubt they will perform. Anyone on the fence about them...just go for it.

Thank you for posting up your personal experience with the BFG T/A KM3 tires. Sounds like they are perfect for you.

wouldn't call it much of an experience with only 100 miles on them. Glad they are liked but some real world testing is needed from the peeps not sponsored by BFG. I am very interested in the KM3 myself, but am hesitant due to the lack of winter rating on the tyre.

Give them time, they will drive like lego bricks, stay on top of rotations.

Duratrac is the answer! I didn't use mine for winter, but I know lots of guys who do, especially in Grande Prairie. I just liked how large the lugs were, almost a cross between AT and MT.

Not sure I am going to try duratracs on the taco. I use them for work all the time and i am not overly impressed.

I rotate religiously. I managed to get 70k miles out of my factory tires (those felt like bricks towards the end). I got 50k miles out of the Mickey Thompson STZ's. Those were bricks for nearly half of their life.

this is the key... people always ask how rough my km2 are i think the fact i rotate and balance ever 5k miles without fail makes such a big difference because after riding in the truck most don't believe me it is rolling on a MT

post some pictures! I am on the fence between a new set of km2 and these new km3

Shame they don't come winter rated, I would throw a set on, especially after I complete the regearing next week.

Sadly, siping does not make a tyre better in the winter. Well it’ll help, but a winter tyre is more based on the rubber compounds used to keep them soft in colder temps, this is what allows the siping, treat, etc to get traction in the winter as it allows the tyres to flex and bite.

These are just a M&S tyre, which really just means all terrain. Most light truck tyres are M&S. Granted these would perform better. Some of the places here in Canada mainly Quebec it is illegal to not have winter tyres installed in the winter, I think places in BC are starting to get like that as well. It shoudl be mandatory to be honest.

There are a number of highways in BC that mandate M&S or snowflake tires from October 1-march 31st. But these would qualify! I'm waiting for the 255/85r16 size to come out next spring.

Ill wait and see how others find them. I just tried ut Cooper Stt pro’s and they’re junk, 45,000 kms and toast, my ko2’s lasted 90,000kms no issues. Pretty sure I’ll be going back to BFg.

I am interested in putting this size on my spare. I even considered this size for my truck. But I almost never see snow. And I know the taller narrower tire works best in snow.

Thanks man. I think I am going to throw some of those on my wife’s 4Runner. She wants mud tires and I am actually being the bitch that doesn’t want to hear them howl because her car is used for road trips. Lol.

I know that you just got them on, but what do you think? I would like to hear what people think of them on and offroad. Most reviews are people that were testers or given free tires by BFG, so I am waiting to hear some real world people putting them through their paces. What do they feel like on the road anyway? Thanks.
