    Thanks, man! We'd paid the loan down to the point we were barely able to deduct interest on last year's taxes. And with the standard deduction doubling for 2018 there was no benefit in paying the bank. Plus the stock market's been moving sideways since January, so I said screw it. I know how to make a guranteed 4-3/8 percent - pay this sucker off!

    Yep and nothing more liberating than knowing that you do not have that payment every month. We own our house too and I paid my truck off a couple of years ago . Feels so much better knowing that I don't have to worry about that if something happens
