After reading all the comments I can add that I have had a identical signal loss as well. I know about signal loss due to above satellite blockage ( bridges/tower-data drop ) and confirm that my drop of signal issue is not related to those issues. I know the exact moment that this new drop in SiriusXM signal occurred. It's the moment they updated the Siriusxm app. So far they have not fixed this issue. I've emailed them and have not even heard one statement that they are even aware that the app is failing. Worst part is that because of not one word about it says no fix soon. So to add to this , yes I too have had identical problems.

My 2013 didn’t come from factory with XM or the shark fin antenna but I will say I run an aftermarket HU with the Sirius tuner and a marine Sirius antenna on my roof and never get signal loss. Unless I’m underground/parking garage.

Was it not doing it then started doing it? When did it start doing it? My Yukon has just been doing it lately, so I am inclined to think this is an XM issue.

I live in Vegas as well. I use Sirius/XM from the app as well as native receiver in my other vehicle. I have been experiencing similar interruptions from both but none longer than a second. Most of the time the signal we get in Vegas is terrestrial and not from the satellites. I’d give it time. Maybe they are working on the equipment. Maybe wait for their (SiriusXM) next update before going back to the dealer.

Edit: Should have stated this started recently. Maybe over the last few weeks.

I just noticed it yesterday. I did a 3 hour one way drive there and back. I had a couple bridges block me, but a couple times was wide open..could be a transmission issue as I really hadn’t noticed before..mine would only cut out for not much longer than a second..

Signal strength and quality has taken a shit the last week or two. Something on the Sirius end although I will say the OEM antenna isn't the best either.

South Texas. Both my wife’s 4Runner and my Tacoma cut out in the exact same spot in our neighborhood with not a thing in site. Tacoma easily loses signal under bridges and large shady buildings that the 4Runner has no issues with.

Mine started doing this yesterday. Cuts out every ten minutes or so for a few seconds . Hate it, especially when I’m listening to Trey Gowdy kick Stzork’s ass.

    No obstructions!

Interesting that you say that! I'll assume you were listening to XM-114, Fox News...I've noticed a interesting trend in that when I'm on 114 I get the "cut out" scenario fairly regularly but if I'm on say XM-7 or XM-25 I don't seem to have the issue, not yet anyway. I know for sure it's happening on 114 with regular frequency.

    Thoughts?

Sometimes certain stations will cut out for me occasionally but I rarely have issues with XM

Okay. So that makes three of us. I had a 4 hour drive from CA back to NV today. While listening to Gowdy open a can of whoop ass on 114 I experienced what seemed like a four second interruption. It happened a couple other times during that circus.

That’s exactly what is happening to me. I’ve only noticed this on channel 114. Maybe has something to do with different channels on different satellites.

I’m beginning to think the same people that run Facebook and twitter control channel 114’s feed :ohsnap:

Does anyone have an issue when going channel to channel with steering wheel control? When you hold to skip 1 channel, not go from preset to preset, for instance xm will go from channel 10 to 13 and completely skip 11,12 and it does it a few other places

Yes, on my truck it will follow the preset order, moving one pre-set per push, however if you push and hold, it will scroll through the channels through numerical order, if I'm remembering correctly. I'll check it on my next drive....

I understand that, my issue is when i try to scroll through numerically by holding it will skip channels 11,12 every time for some odd reason...it's not like i hold it down too long cause it happens every time on those channels and then randomly elsewhere when scrolling
