Props to the people actually out there with their trucks. I would have had more significant damage if it weren't for RCI armor :headbang: LCA skids have been added recently since damage to the LCA occurred. 20180506_144613.jpg 20180506_144716.jpg 20180506_144848.jpg 20180507_184300.jpg

Same here, almost identical. Reading through this thread, I have pretty much all of the damage mentioned besides the missing axle

Ouch! I would keep it damaged and put the $170 into a bumper fund.

Actually, this is a great thread that will help others. Like for instance, I see lots of uses for zip ties here for the ol’ emergency kit I didn’t think about, so thanks, getting a few more including the steel ones.

Is that oil on LCA (second pic)? What was that about?

Looks like that's his IFS skid and some spillage from his last oil change

$105 from RockAuto. Had it shipped home because it somehow was gonna cost $50 for them to send it to Hawaii from Oregon .. or just over $10 to West Virginia. Both air... makes sense. Had my mom send me pics of it so I can leave space in my luggage (already had a trip planned in).

Hoping that’s all she wrote. End cap is scraped up and has a broke clip.. but it’s holding up with one clip fine right now. The black piece that I’m replacing is zip tied together with the sensor harnesses and other random bits.. not moving. And people bash third gens..

Yeah my IFS and that's just water. I was spraying it down with a hose when I took the pics.

I bought my truck for mountain trips and as a hunting rig and slid into a ditch scouting for my deer hunt, didn't have my locker engaged and was in 4 high lol

Could've been alot worst imo, walked 5 miles to make a phone call and got winched out by a family member, I love the truck and will continue to build it, first upgrade is a winch and winch bumper

Stock with a camper shell for now.
Was looking at RCI and the other brands of skids, you like the RCI skids and did you go with the full kit and steel across the board ?

Too big of an investment, I'll leave my pickup at the head of trail and take my SxS or four wheeler.

    Agreed.
My SXS cost the same as my Tacoma, but it was purpose built to do the fun stuff.
    2 x the suspension travel
    1.75 X the ground clearance
3 X the power to weight ratio
    = More fun, less damage.

    1. Rear bumper has been ripped off on both sides multiple times…I gave up on buying bumper caps.
    2. exhaust got crushed under body and burned the side panel.
    3. Predator steps x4…everyone got destroyed on different outings and either I cut off or were completely ripped off on the trail.
    4. Skid plate underneath has seen better days but the welds at the joint both cracked and needed stitching. Otherwise…it’s all good
