ever since I installed my 5100 in the front I've been getting a creaking noise. almost every time I take off from a dead stop or go over a speed bump or turn or etc. its constant and annoying. I thought it could be the front body mounts like others have pointed out but after installing the new mounts I still have the same creaking noise. my question is, could it be possible that setting the preload on the springs have something to do with the noise? I have the clip set at the 2.5in mark (highest point). or I am thinking that the nut that holds the spring together on top of everything might be too tight/loose? not 100% sure but very frustrating

Got mine set at 4th notch 1.55" front lift on stock springs and mine don't make noise.

Is the noise a metal on metal noise or more of a squeak?

it doesn't sound like any metal on metal. I can't imagine there would be any metal rubbing against each other. guess just get a tube full of grease and go crazy

Is it a faint squeaking noise? Like the sound of a bolt washer rattling? If so, that's the shocks.

I've got a creak on mine, as well.. but it is definitely coming from the rear. You're sure its the front?

    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
If he has them set at the highest setting, that’s why the directions state not recommended at that setting for Tacomas (with OEM springs).

All my noise comes from the rear too, AAL’s don’t like dry trail dust.

Mine squeaked like hell too when I had them with stock coils. As soon as I swapped the coils with Eibachs the creaking all stopped. I figured it had to do with the soft factory coil under preload whereas the Eibachs are much stiffer.
