Good idea, I already threw out my old speakers though. I really figured these metra adapters would have good holes for the speakers to mount to but they really don't. A bit disappointed with crutchfield to be honest.

You just need to install the optional Quantum Field Dampener and you're good to go.

I have had my set for a couple months now. Tramped them with some California mud, sand, and dirt. Washed with pressure washer. They look like the day I took them out of the box. I am curious to see how they do in the long run.

My only regret is not getting a 4 wheel drive. Had a 2008 Prerunner V6 and a 2014 F150 V8, both horrible gas mileage, that I sold to buy the 2016 and was worried a 4 x 4 would be bad on gas too. I was wrong on that one so I should have bought the 4 wheel drive. Love mine and won't sell it but that has been my only real complaint.

It served its purpose as a truck and made three trips to Lowe's for mulch, rock, etc. With the 112 heat index today, I'm glad my 17-yr-old son helped. 'Had time to sit and enjoy the fruits of our labor.

I de-badged, did the AC drain mod and fixed a chip on the paint on the tailgate.
