Build a big shop with a living space able or to the side of it.

So nice to have a place to store stuff and work on stuff when it’s cold.

Be careful what you wish for. I purchased 10 acres of property and had my 1st place there. The last 6 years of owning it I never left the yard. I always was going places and the property was a waste. Having that extra land gained me nothing. (of course, selling to guys like you at a profit is besides the point):)

If you buy property, go into it with the mind set of an investment, not wanting the privacy.

The fence at my present place is fucking cheap compared to the maintenance of the previous 10 acres.

I sold and bought 1 acre near town and put up a privacy fence. Zero issues and all the conveniences of being near town.

[IMG] If I was in the position of not having a permanent residence, this would be the style I would go. You can transport them to your new place with ease.

They don't lift super high, but 90% of your work is outside the vehicle anyways.

They look great when they are sunk into the concrete for a flush fit with the floor.

In fact, they are so useful, that I want to talk the wife into one for the front garage.

They make great work benches as well.

I've self capped myself at 2 acres. I don't need more, house, shop, car storage, space for horses. Donezo. I do want privacy though

Ya know I can live anywhere including the suburbs as long as I can put up a shop to work in, and space out back to store vehicles.

I once bought parts from a guy up North who lives in a McMansion neighborhood. His neighbor had a 60 foot long, 30 foot high garage just for his RV.

I hate urban living, suburban annoys me but I can sorta live with it. I don't need tweakers and "concerned citizens" in my shit all the time.

You need more heat and less wire speed. You should be able to make a decent looking weld doing the tack weld method.

I tried turning up the heat and it goes right through, turning down wire speed made a weird puddle and inconsistent arc. I'm not the most competent welder though, only took a week of classes haha

Just need to be quicker on the trigger pull.

I've never had any MIG welding classes and I don't believe anyone needs organized welding classes to MIG weld.

If I had the internet 25 years ago it would speed up the learning curve exponentially.

I’m trying to achieve the stereotypical “American Dream” lifestyle. The green lawn, big house, etc.

I couldn’t live in the country. Not being around anyone or anything would drive me to the point of insanity.

Im going for a bigger lawn and whatever house I damn well please. It'll be worth it if I don't have a more than three neighbors in a mile radius. Where I'm planning on living isn't too far away from a city, 20min by dirt road and 20min by highway, but you know which one I'd take. I have a location in mind already and luckily it's not an up and coming outskirt. Look at the satellite view of Spangle, WA. I want to be about two miles away from it's center which is only 25mins from Spokane. The American dream is doing whatever serves your fantasies, it's not a set checklist.
