    Damn right I do.

Speaking of money, I had an air force officer ask me yesterday how much money it would take to keep me in the military since I'm getting out soon, and to get me to go air force cyber officer. I gave it some thought and next week I'm gonna tell him $40k. Let's see how bad the air force really wants me.

Well I was going to say $60k but my wife was like "Yo you dumb motherfucker, don't potentially ruin this shot at a good gig" (Not her exact words)

And yeah, I'm enlisted. I'm not sure how serious he was, but he seemed really serious since apparently the air force is desperate for cyber officers.

I'd just say a really good sign on bonus, and Officer track or SNCO track. See what he comes back with.

Yeah I definitely would. I don't really have a set plan for work once we move (was just gonna see where we move and see what job I can get), but this would be a much better deal. Dual air force officer marriage would be the tits.

Cyber has been the big initiative. Problem is they are competing against industry, who can pay way more. So they (DoD) have been trying to come up with strategic ways to pull people, the other issue is retention, cause again once you go cyber, and you start working in the same area with a lot of industry partners, they try to snag you so they can stay competitive, you will be surprised at how much money they will throw at you to keep you in. Its like OEF and OIR 4/5 all over again. Intel MOS were getting stupid fucking money thrown at them for reenlistment bonus's.

Yep, hit the nail on the head. In an environment like mine we're we're working side by side with contractors and civilians doing the same job but they're getting paid more, it doesn't make much sense to stay in.

DoD is going to start enlisting/commissioning people in at high enlisted/officer paygrades now to meet that demand (as high as O-6 from what I've been hearing).

its hard....its why DoD created for civilians a whole other pay grade system to stay competitive. They just haven't really figured out the military side....

I was intel during oif and I'm getting/in cyber now. Going to start studying for a GIAC and already am 8570 compliant with core competency (sec plus)

Well the military already does it for things like Medical and Dental Officers through its staff corps. They come in at O-3/O-4 level. They are non-combat/non-command positioning. It'd be easy to do the same with IT/Cyber.
