It’s nearly 200k, it’s over halfway to all the mileage’s you mentioned as I would probably reach and exceed most of them in a few short years. I’d like to find some that’ll last me a long time. If it’s well maintained and taken care of I guess it’s probably fine.

The rock garden there is fun at least :D

The Midwest just forces you to learn to weld and build all your own stuff because there aren’t many shops around

I know I'm a little late but I see that as y'all's falt...
:censored: this thread really moves fast... Anyway, I digress...

The trick here in IL is to get over 10 acres of farmable land so you can get the tax break. Then lease everything execpt the area around the house to some farmer. Then you only need to take care of the area around the house and the rest is making you money. :mudding:

Very true but damn to get parts is a little harder. Or if it's something you can't do at home and the mechanic looks at you like you have 6 heads

This. It’s funny to see a new house spring up on a corner of a corn field because the land owner is leasing the rest of it to avoid our lovely taxes

I’ve grown accustomed to 4-day shipping from Low Range Offroad. It was painful to start though!

The parts store looked at me a little sideways one day during a brake job on the Tacoma when I went in for front brake pads for a 92’ v6 mini truck, front rotors for a 83’ Landcruiser, and rear brake pads for a 96’ Landcruiser

Finally sold my old A340E today. Can’t believe how long it took. I had it listed on four different sites and everyone wanted to use it on a Tundra, or a Lexus SC400, or a 4Runner and not a Tacoma. It’s like the only vehicle that the A340E doesn’t break on is the Tacoma.

Then I found someone who had a bad A340E on his 1999 PreRunner. Had the same transmission so it was perfect.

Guy drove a six hour round trip for it. Crazy.

Ok, who wants to come over and finish my OME install?:rofl: One coilover in, new LBJ to install then bolt everything back up and start driver side. Then on to the leaf springs. Have today and tomorrow to finish the front - my guess, it'll be next week before I start the leafs.

I guess the problem with having a backup vehicle - procrastination. :pccoffee:

No worries just me laughing a bit at myself - i'll get it done, just going to take some time.

Wife's schedule is conflicting at the moment and having the 3yo sitting in the jogging stroller while I wrench on the truck just isn't going to cut it. lol
