We can take them off the truck using the weight method and move the clip.
I’ve never used the weight of the truck before since I’ve only ran 2.5s but I’m down to try anything once. I just finished up my big install the other week.

That's cool. Can't tell what the pricing is like from the site though.

Anyone remember who that mobile outfit is - one based in San Mateo? I started the install myself but conflicting schedules with the wife is making things difficult to finish - 3yo sitting in the jogging stroller while I'm wrenching on the truck just doesn't work.

@sd1uh8as Milo has done a lot of work for Tacoma, FJ, and 4runner owners.

He's competitive w/ offers and can do body mount chop, long travel builds, frame boxing, slider install, custom racks, suspension install etc.

He also has one of those fancy wall mounted OTC Strut Tamer spring compressors for 700 lbs springs.

    Thanks everyone!

Hopefully others in the SFBay new to trucks will be able to use this post for reference.

I found a reference to Milo here for CMCs, and will be seeing him this weekend to have that done. He does get found :) Didn't know he did suspension installs as well - will have to talk to him about that. SWAT Customs quoted me an arm and a leg.

Most auto parts stores rent a lot of tools, like spring compressors FOR FREE. Only thing that isn't really worth DIY is the alignment (although that IS possible). Just take it to a 4x4 specialty shop when you're done.

All your suspension is bolt on stuff - pretty easy DIY. A couple jackstands and a floor jack and some wrenches are all you really need.

My 9 year old helped me install my Kings and TC UCAs. Here - he's helping put new steering rack bushings in.

    No, he's a mini @jbrandt

lol, I just tagged myself, I wonder if this will create an infinite loop of notifications...

EDIT: So far no adverse effects from self-tag. No matter/antimatter implosions or wormholes. Not gunna lie, I'm kinda disappointed.

Just a note, spring compressors from auto-parts stores are really sketchy because they often don't have ones that can handle 600lbs + springs.

Most rental tools are sketchy, lol. Who knows how man times it's been dropped or run over my a truck.

The spring tool I got (basically this one), the safety latches didn't fit over the coils on my stock springs, but it worked. Just like a firearm though, I never pointed it at myself, lol...

I feel that using the weight of the truck is easier than those damn spring compressors lol
