Well, today, I dropped my truck off at the dealer to replace the 3rd brake light due to a water leak. My truck has 40,000 miles on it. The dealer wouldn’t fix it under warranty, so they suggested that I called Toyota corporate and explained my situation. Much to my surprise, Toyota corporate is taking care of the 3rd brake light out of warranty for me. They did say that it is a known issue. The dealer anticipates it taking 7 or 8 hours to replace

I have had one set of these in my 2017 TRD going on 2 years, black. Bought 2 more sets for wife’s Jeep Cherokee and daughters VW Jetta, both in beige.
My experience, clean the front ones, like wash off with hose, and I go one step further I spray lightly with Aerospace 303. I do this about every 2 months unless I got muddy. They look as good as when purchased.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KN0UOEE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    Main reasons I like;
Easy to clean with just a hose compared to Weather Beaters etc.
I like to drive in my socks or barefooted on long trips, these are slightly cushioned and no ridges...ridges bad for comfort with bare or socked feet.
They are sound deadening, and act as insulation.
Once put down they do not slide what so ever because of the backing. Similar effect as Velcro.
    They look good.

7 to 8 hours to replace. WTH. That’s absolutely crazy. Didn’t take me that long but whatever. It’s covered by Toyota. That’s nice

I can't answer for him but I used fishing line to cut the foam tape behind the badges and then they pop right off, no paint damage at all. The hard part is getting the bulk of the foam tape off (I used my thumb nails, but it took a long time to get it all off and kind of hurt my hands haha) and then I used goo gone and it got the residue off nicely.

I put those in my ex's Santa Fe and didn't really like them. They looked terrible when dirty and were a pain to keep clean. I wouldn't buy them again.

Bought it 2 weeks ago. 17 TRDOR. Already has Pro grille. Picked up an OEM tonneau cover on CL last week. Plans for future include OME coils, billsteins, 265x75 ko2’s, voodoo bed rack for my Yakima basket, swap nerf bars for sliders, maybe Prinsu, the list goes on!

Coming from a 13 lifted and semi heavily modded Jeep JKU. So far I don’t miss it. Wanted a Taco for a long time!

    Man....I miss the game hyooogely.

What is that black beast parked beside your badass golf cart ??

Good Lord Almighty that is one sweet view.

I'd have a hard time leaving there to run any errand......even to go mount some great rubber on my Taco.

You are living the dream there.

On a good day.........a really, really good day.....my backyard has that much grill smoke billowing over the roofline. :smokertransformer:

Well today I finally reconnected all of my accessories from when Toyota had unplugged everything. It all is working great! No issues. For them not having to do anything, it sure does run better now and all of those issues just went away on their own. Haha. However, I’m extremely glad they all are back up and running. I’ve missed them. Anyone debating adding light, do it!! I was showing my uncle all of them last night, including my DSIM Dome Light Harness, and he was amazed. He went out today and scheduled an appointment to get his own LED bar installed and to switch out his interior lights to LEDs.

Also, finally got around to reinstalling my ME-SO Fuse Cover - Thanks again @mesojdm

It’s a Blue Sea 1045 which you can buy off Amazon.

I’m not sure there is a video but it’s pretty easy to replace. Use needle nose to carefully pull out the lighter since it is clipped in, working each side to wiggle it out. Then cut the OEM plug and replace with 1/4” female connectors for 22guage wire. You need to widen the hole slightly for the Blue Sea so I used sand paper to make it just wide enough. Crimped ln the connectors then connected to the Blue Sea and pushed back in.

Hey Everyone, My 2018 Pro is doing great. Absolutely luv it.
I finally cured the one performance issue that was really bugging me compared to my 2012 4.0L. The throttle response and shift points were really a drag on my new 3.5L. After a lot of research, YouTubeing and having a real understanding of how an electronic throttle works (being a 38 year auto technician in the dealership world) I put my money on a Sprint Booster V3 Throttle Enhancer. It took me 5 min to install completely. First test drive and playing around with the various settings I am completely impressed. It is as advertised.
My TRD PRO is an automatic but I would really recommend it for the Manuel Trany. It will give you back that "feather" control and instant clutch engagement that is more difficult to achieve with the stock ETC. It's like having a cable again.
I did use my scan tool to check for DTC's. None set. And I did clear the adaptive memory from the PCM to give it a clean slate to start from.
There are other products out there, the choice is yours but definitely don't waste your money on anything that plugs directly into the DLC. Nothing gets by the new Security Gateway Module being put into 2018+ vehicles. (as of yet).
